MBA Poznań–Atlanta Book Club – First In-Person Meeting

Seven people seated around a restaurant table during an informal book club meeting, with meals, drinks, and books on the table.

The Executive MBA Poznań–Atlanta Association Book Club held its first in-person meeting, bringing members of the community together for a conversation deliberately moving beyond the traditional business agenda.

The subject of the evening was not strategy, KPIs, management models or economics, but “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”. The choice reflected the idea behind the Book Club: creating a space where people from business, economics, architecture, management and leadership can meet around literature and explore perspectives that are often absent from everyday professional conversations.

The discussion focused not only on the book itself, but also on the experience of reading — how and when we read, what remains with us afterwards, and what emotions and reflections literature can evoke. The initiative has developed thanks to the commitment and determination of Anna Olichwier, who has created a space for conversations different from those usually held in offices and meeting rooms.

The meeting also highlighted the role literature can play in business life: encouraging attentive listening, reflection and openness to different perspectives. The first in-person gathering marked another step in the development of the MBA Poznań–Atlanta Book Club.
