A meeting dedicated to leadership in conditions of constant change brought together members of the Executive MBA Poznań–Atlanta Association to reflect on the role of leaders in a world without a “new normal. The guest speaker was Dorota Warakomska, one of Poland’s most respected journalists.

The discussion focused on redefining leadership amid ongoing disruption, information overload, and continuous decision-making pressure. Particular attention was given to adaptability, emotional intelligence, and ethical judgment as essential competencies of contemporary leaders.

The meeting also provided space to compare different leadership models and to reflect on how perceptions of success and the role of values in business have evolved across generations. The exchange of perspectives among participants from various MBA cohorts enriched the discussion with diverse experiences.

Drawing on her extensive background in fast-paced television newsrooms, Dorota Warakomska highlighted a significant shift in access to information – from a world in which leaders held exclusive knowledge to one in which information is widely available, yet increasingly difficult to interpret. In this context, leadership today is primarily about sense-making, responsibility, and building trust.
